FAQ
?
- What is
budgetstay?
-
Budgetstays
accommodation means that travelers stay with host
families. Guests will have their own room in the
house and facilities mentioned ideally for their
exclusive use. Hosts will provide breakfast where
mentioned. Arrangements for other meals, transport
or sightseeing guides are optional.
Budgetstays database does not contain large B&B
businesses and most likely you will be the only
guest staying at any given time. Our hosts have been
selected to ensure that certain quality criteria are
met, including cleanliness, location of the property
and roomsize. What more, features such as air
conditioning, garden or pool access are often
available. Most of all, it's our hosts' commitment
to making guests feel welcome that really counts.
- How can I make a
booking?
- It is most likely
that you will make your booking in advance through
our on-line internet database. Once your journey has
started, you can always contact Budgetstays through
cybercafe's and enquire about further bookings.
- How can I make
bookings with several budgetstays?
-
We
are happy to receive bookings for more than one
budgetstay from you. However, due to administrative
reasons, each budgetstay's booking and payment will
be dealt with separately and you get a confirmation
for each one separately.
- Are there any
curfew times?
-
If
your accommodation has a separate guest's entry or
your hosts have given you a key to the house, there
will be no curfew times. However, if hosts need to
open the door for you, make sure you have agreed on
the time you are likely to be back. Hosts tend to be
rather flexible in this respect and usually there
are no scheduled curfew times.
- What happens if I
forget or loose my travel voucher?
- Just log on the net
and visit the site and check with your hosts.
- What happens if
my arrival is delayed?
- Your hosts know your
estimated arrival time and will be there to greet
you on arrival. If you are arriving much later, try
to notify hosts as soon as possible. If you have had
no opportunity to contact them, and they are out on
your arrival, look for a message.
If your stay has been paid in advance, you don't need
to worry about your room being let to another party
in the meantime. Hosts will hold your booking even
if you are more than 24 hours late. On the other hand,
there will be no refund for the stay that you have
missed.
- What happens if
we don't meet the hosts on arrival?
- This is a very unlikely
event, since the hosts have been notified of your
arrival time and have confirmed the booking.
- Do I need to
reconfirm my accommodation?
- No. After you have
received your voucher, there is no need to reconfirm
a booking, since your stay has already been paid. If
your planned arrival time changes, however, it may
be a good idea to let your hosts know.
- What happens if
I have to cancel a booking?
- Cancellation fees
are dependent on when the cancellation is received
and calculated as a percentage of the booking total:
- Is there any benefit
staying a longer time?
- Usually not. If you
plan to stay longer than one month at a location,
we recommend that you speak to your host.
- Are there any
other costs to be incurred?
- A booking with
Budgetstays usually covers the stay in a room for
the nominated number of persons and includes the
services offered. Optional services like airport
pick-ups or additional meals have to be paid
directly to the hosts once you are there.
